Geological conditions continue to have an impact on the shape of the city until today. Warsaw grew, above all, along the escarpment, with buildings tightly around it. In contemporary times, this tradition is continued by the Ursynów-Natolin settlement. In passing, it would be worth noting the fragment of the former wilderness that has survived in the shape of the Natolin Preserve. At the edge of the escarpment, Mieszko, the oldest oak in Mazovia, is still growing; its green crown is visible on the photograph.
